Cross Border Cooperation (CBC) program «South-East Finland - Russia» presented new projects, including one that will support the development of transnational sea tourism between Vyborg, St. Petersburg and Kotka.

The project implementation started on February 1, 2021.

Vip & Ko project – «connecting Vyborg, St. Petersburg and Kotka by sea routes and improving safety and border crossing customer experience of future passenger lines», is supposed to develop sea routes and rise attractiveness of tourist services on both sides of the border. It will include modernization of the passenger terminal in the port of Vyborg, making it more safe and more smooth border crossing point. A feasibility study on further sustainable development of transnational sea tourism will also be performed during the project.
